Meet The Dogfather’s owner + operator
Meet the man with a pawsitive mission. Helping your furry friends have a safe and enjoyable visit whether its for a grooming appointment or a day of daycare!
My name is Daniel, I am the owner of Dogfathers.
Being born and raised on a farm with all types of Livestock and foul, dogs were essential to the day to day chores and responsibilities I had as a child. My dogs and I would bring in the cows daily for milking, and round up all the ducks, geese, chickens and of course the turkeys at the end of each day to put them safely away for the night. It was very rewarding and gratifying to have this relationship with my dogs, who were also my best friends and a huge part of my life.
I was bonded with dogs my entire life . We just seemed to have a natural connection. It stayed with me through the years of my adult life and through various careers, including running manufacturing plants, and operations management in oil and gas.
Through those years I always had a dog in my life. I now have ended up being in the environment I always felt was my calling.
I do what I love, and I love what I do. I am blessed with an amazing team, and a great following of loyal customers whom I am so privileged to know. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome, and their dogs to have the best experience with whatever service we are providing.
I have 2 Border Collies (Maxx and Tazz) who come with me every day to the shop, and herd sheep on the weekends. When we work with customers' dogs our vision is to treat them like our own. Make them feel welcome and safe. An overall pawsitive experience.

cassie
Hi there!
My name is Cassandra, a certified professional dog groomer with years of experience working in different fields with dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. I started my grooming career after I graduated from Fluffy Paws Grooming School in Toronto, Ontario in 2022, specializing in breed standard, hand scissoring and pet trims. Prior to that, in 2021 I had the opportunity to work in a high demand salon as a Grooming Assistant and learn from experienced groomers on proper drying and brushing techniques.
I have always had a passion for working with animals, dogs especially, and have always had the desire to help them in one way or another. In secondary school, I was given the opportunity to do a CO-OP at Stoney Ridge Animal Clinic and work at Beatties Animal Hospital as a Veterinarian Assistant. I was shown how to properly handle each patient, with care, compassion and kindness. Understanding each pet has different needs and how to approach those needs.
I strive to give everyone the most positive experience and have every client and their two legged friend walking out the door with a smile on their face! I am experienced with the more anxious, aggressive or difficult dogs and try to make their stay as calming and stress free as possible.
Thank you for considering me to be your furry friend's groomer. I look forward to meeting you in the future!

Hello! My name is Sarah and I’m the lead daycare handler. My job is to place your pups into suitable and balanced play groups based on size, energy level and temperament. While I ensure your dogs have a good time here at Dogfather’s, their safety is my top priority.
With a career spanning 15 years, I’ve worked with dogs in kennels and daycares -from Toronto to Halifax. So you can be sure your fur babies are in good hands! When I’m not here, you can find me hanging out with my dog, at the range, or at home working on sculptures!
CHANTELLE
Hi there! My name is Chantelle! Previously, I worked with children with special needs, but I have always had a deep love for animals. I had always wanted a job involving animals, so I worked as a veterinary assistant and gained knowledge about how to treat and comprehend the behaviour of animals.
I hold certifications of both Pet CPR and vet assistant skills. I decided to switch careers to doggy daycare because it offers a more upbeat, enjoyable, and caring environment. I can’t wait to meet you and your furbaby!!! I hope you have a pawsitive day!!!
